The weight card from Teller: 69.3 kg, 2.2 kg down, with a smoothed trend line through the daily readings.
The Teller Today screen: 851 kcal left on the day, bars for protein, carbohydrates and fat, and the meals logged so far.
The 7-day average card: 1,798 kcal per day, 67 kcal under target and within range.

Logging

Logged in seconds.

Photo, barcode, or one tap. Teller learns what you eat and when, so most meals are already waiting for you.

The meal camera pointed at a lunchbox with sandwiches, crackers, almonds and fruit.

Snap your meal. Logged.

Point the camera at your plate. Teller reads the meal and fills in the numbers.

The scanner reading the barcode on a paper bag.

Scan the barcode. Done.

Packaged food comes straight from the label, and the portion is two more taps.

The add sheet listing the foods eaten most often at lunch, and saved dishes.

It already knows your lunch.

What you usually eat at this hour sits on top, one tap away.

The weekly check-in card: 1,971 kcal from today, your expenditure has gone up.
The proposed new target: 1,971 kcal per day with the macro split beneath it, and one button to accept.

The adaptive target

Adjusts itself. Every week.

Most trackers hand you a number from a formula on day one and never look at it again. Teller compares what you ate with how your weight actually moved, and proposes a new target every week. Accept it with one tap, or keep the old one.

Trends

Not a formula. Your data.

A smoothed weight trend instead of daily noise, your measured expenditure over time, and how close you land on protein. Enough to see whether it is working, and nothing more.

The Trends screen: a 7-day calorie average, a smoothed weight trend and measured expenditure.

Questions

Good to know.

Is Teller free?

Yes. It costs nothing while it is new, and there are no ads. Everyone who starts before it becomes paid keeps it free for good.

Do I need an account?

No. Teller starts without a sign-up. If you want your data to survive a new phone, link Apple or Google later, from inside the app.

How does the target adjust?

It starts with the same formula estimate every app uses. Then, each week, Teller compares what you logged with how your weight actually moved and works back to what you burn. When that measurement is more reliable than the estimate, it proposes a new target. You see the number and the reason, and accept it with one tap, or not. The full explanation.

What happens to my photos?

A photo of your plate or a label is analysed, the numbers come back, and the photo is discarded. It is never stored and never used to train anything.

Does it work offline?

Logging does. Entries are saved on the phone and synced when you are back online. Photo analysis and barcode lookup need a connection.

Does it connect to Apple Health?

Not yet, and you lose less than you might think. Most apps pull the calories your watch says you burned and add them to your budget, but those are estimates, and often generous ones. Teller works the other way round: it measures what you actually burn from what you log and how your weight moves, workouts included. That number tends to be closer to the truth than the watch. Weight is entered in the app.

Which languages does it speak?

English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Polish. The app follows the language of your phone.
